O-GENERAL AIR CONDITIONERS HEAT LOAD CALCULATION SHEET ( HVAC )

Password: DGTECH

To calculate heat load using the O General method, you can follow these general steps:

  1. Determine the heat load for each room or area: Consider factors such as room size, orientation, number of occupants, type and number of windows, insulation, and specific heat gain sources (appliances, lighting, etc.).

  2. Calculate the sensible heat load: Determine the sensible heat gain or loss based on the temperature difference between the desired indoor temperature and the outdoor design conditions. Use factors like room volume, insulation, and thermal properties of materials.

  3. Calculate the latent heat load: Determine the latent heat gain or loss due to humidity by considering factors like ventilation, infiltration, occupancy, and moisture sources.

  4. Calculate total heat load: Add the sensible and latent heat loads to get the total heat load for the space.

  5. Repeat the calculation for each room or area and sum up the individual heat loads to obtain the total heat load for the entire building.

Please note that the specific calculations and formulas may vary depending on the O General method or software you are using. It's recommended to refer to the manufacturer's guidelines or consult a professional HVAC engineer for accurate heat load calculations.
